This course bridges the operational gap between the handling skills required for a straight-wing propeller-driven aircraft and the pilot competencies and handling techniques required for a Jet Transport aircraft before starting a type rating.

To successfully complete a transport jet Type Rating, in addition to MCC competencies, you also need to understand the handling qualities of a modern jet airliner and be proficient in the flying skills needed to operate a heavy, high performance Aeroplane.
The PTC Jet Orientation Course has been designed by experienced Airline Training professionals and uses state-of-the-art Airbus A320 simulation technology to develop the additional competencies required before any meaningful attempt can be made at a jet Type Rating.

- Our Jet Orientation Course focuses on:
- Flight path management competency, including energy management, as Pilot Flying (PF), and associated active monitoring skills as Pilot Monitoring (PM).
- Manufacturer and airline procedures which are used to develop understanding of the aeroplane flight envelope, inertia and the relationship between thrust and attitude.
- An introduction to upset prevention and recovery (UPRT), which builds confidence, skill, and resilience.
